We’ve got some BIG news.
Last week, SURGE™ was named Product of the Year at the RISE Awards by BC Food and Beverage.
This is an incredible honour for us. We were also a nominated finalist for Innovation of the Year, a category recognizing companies with boundary-pushing products.
Past winners of Product of the Year in BC include Big Mountain Foods’ Soy-Free Tofu, The Better Butchers Plant-Based Crumble, The GOOD Chocolatier's Blueberry Maple Craft Cacao Bar, Gnubees+ by GnuSanté Creations, and Seaside Gin by Sheringham Distillery.
Back in August, we were selected alongside 10 other phenomenal brands to compete in a Dragons’ Den-style competition where we presented SURGE to a panel of judges.
Out of those 10 brands, 3 finalists were selected, and to our surprise, on November 20th, we were awarded the ultimate GOLD prize, bringing home the top prize of the night : Product of the Year.
We are so grateful to everyone who has helped us along the way, our manufacturers, product development team, food scientists, and especially our customers.
This is only the beginning, our goal is to make VEGAIN and SURGE household names, and we believe we’re on track to making that happen.
All of this exciting news coincides with the opening of our new headquarters in Vancouver’s West End, the opening of our new coffee and smoothie bar, The Grind, and the expansion of our team.
