VEGAIN x CHEO: An Ottawa Fundraiser You Can Join for Free

Growing up, our co-founder Edan spent a lot of time in the Ottawa Valley, long before SURGE was even an idea. So when we started thinking about where to bring VEGAIN outside our usual BC turf, Ottawa wasn't just another stop on the Costco roadshow. It felt like coming home.

That's why we're hosting Community Flow for CHEO, a free, all-levels Mat Pilates class with Samie K, At Trillium Park, right by the Gloucester Costco on Saturday, September 19th. Class starts promptly at 11am, so plan to arrive by 10:45am to grab a spot and settle in.

Free, With Donations Welcome

There's no ticket price, just a donation of whatever you're able to give on-site that day. Every dollar goes to CHEO Foundation, which has been raising funds for Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario since 1974. That includes CHEO itself, the CHEO Research Institute, and Roger Neilson Children's Hospice. The Foundation runs more than 250 events a year and partners with Children's Miracle Network to help fund care and research for kids and families across the region.

What the Class Looks Like

Expect 45 to 50 minutes of full-body movement, built around core strength, mobility, balance, and controlled movement. Leading the class is Samie K, a Certified Mat Pilates Instructor with over 7 years of experience and the founder of Selah, where she teaches intentional wellness experiences built around movement, community, and connection. She offers modifications throughout, so whether you've never rolled out a mat or you teach Pilates yourself, you'll be set up to move at your own pace. It's genuinely family-friendly too, so bring the kids if you've got them.

A Second Way to Help That Same Day

VEGAIN is running our SURGE Costco roadshow at the Gloucester location right next to Trillium Park, and every dollar from SURGE sales there goes directly to CHEO. So if you want to double up on the good you're doing, swing by Costco before or after class. We'll wrap with giveaways and a chance to connect with the VEGAIN team and CHEO in person.

Community and giving back are extremely important to us, and this is one of those mornings where showing up actually adds up. Come move with us, bring a friend, and help us raise something real for CHEO.
